Piano Teacher

Description

We're looking for a teacher who can travel to students' homes in and around Cambridge/Somerville.

Teachers are hired as independent contractors, with compensation in the range $48-55 based on experience and education level. The studio will work to provide the number of students you request and handle onboarding of students, billing, scheduling, and other administration.

Requirements

• A degree in music and university-level training in piano, or otherwise demonstrate good experience in performing and teaching.
• Experience and interest in teaching children.
• Regular weekly availability. (Lessons are scheduled at a fixed weekly time and your schedule should be able to accommodate this.)
• Transportation—a car or bike.

Interview

Please prepare:

• two advanced level pieces of contrasting style (Memorization not necessary)
• one major or minor scale and arpeggio

You'll be asked about your teaching experience, method, and philosophy.
