Client Inquiries

Please direct general and billing questions questions to the studio director. Direct lesson-specific questions (for instance assignment and learning questions) and scheduling questions to your teacher.

Stopping Lessons and Refunds

You may stop at any time, but payments are non-refundable.

If you need to stop lessons, let the studio director know before the 25th. If you've set up a recurring payment, you can log into to Square and remove your card details to cancel it, or contact the studio director, who can do it for you. Once you make a payment, you've signed up for a month, and no refund can be given.

If your teacher needs to stop, you will be refunded the unused portion of the fee.

Expectations

Student Expectations. The student will be expected to make a commitment in terms of effort—that is, devoting adequate practice time and study as advised by the teacher. You are expected to be free at your lesson time. If the lesson time becomes a problem, it's fine to speak with your teacher about finding a new time.

Teacher Expectations. Your payment entitles you or your child to a lesson with your teacher each week (not including break weeks) at the prearranged time.

Cancellation Policy

Please give your teacher 48 hours notice if you need to cancel a lesson.

If you have to cancel with less than 48 hours notice, your teacher is not obligated to reschedule the lesson. This is because your teacher has already blocked off the usual lesson time, and with short notice may not be able to repurpose this time.

Rescheduling

You may ask to reschedule a lesson, but it’s up to your teacher.

If you cancel with proper notice, you may make a request to your teacher to reschedule the lesson to another time in the same week. Your teacher will try their best to accommodate the request, but this is dependent on their availability. To facilitate scheduling, you should make a your request to the teacher in person at a previous lesson, whenever possible. It takes time and effort on the part of your teacher to reschedule, so please do so sparingly and with good reason.

Teacher Cancellation

Your teacher will offer to reschedule a lesson they cannot make. If that doesn’t work for you, you’ll get a make-up lesson or refund.

If your teacher needs to cancel a lesson, they will contact you to try to reschedule the lesson to another time during the same week. If you are not able to do so, you will be offered credit in the form of a make-up lesson that your teacher and you will schedule at a later date. If for whatever reason your teacher cannot complete the make-up lesson, you will be credited for the cancelled lesson, either on the next invoice or directly.
